SONiVOX AudioiNSIDE EAS Technology for Mobile Phones
SONiVOX (formerly Sonic Network) provides embedded audio technology that enable high quality, interactive audio and multi-media audio playback. SONiVOX’s AudioiNSIDE Embedded Audio Synthesis (EAS™) technology has been designed specifically for multi-media and baseband semiconductors, mobile phones, personal audio players, game devices and toys that need both a low memory/processor footprint solution as well as very high quality polyphonic audio.
SONiVOX’s EAS technology has been ported to Tensilica’s new Diamond 330HiFi audio processor and the Xtensa HiFi 2 audio engine. The EAS technology on Tensilica’s processors provides mobile devices with the ability to play MIDI music, ringtones and sound effects. SONiVOX’s EAS includes an MMAPI interface (JSR135) for Java and game support and is compatible with the following data formats:
