GSM-HR Speech Codec

Tensilica’s GSM-HR Speech Codec Application Package

GSM Half Rate (HR) is used for coding of speech at 5.6 Kbps for GSM. It implements the speech codec standard specified in 3GPP TS 46.002 V9.0.0 (2009-12) and its related documents.  The codec is a fixed-point implementation written entirely in C and available in either object or source code. Included documentation describes how to incorporate the decoder into a system. Using this package, system developers can integrate a GSM-EFR codec into an SOC without the need for additional optimizations or software development. The same Xtensa HiFi Audio DSPs are used for other Tensilica audio and voice codecs, enabling the development of highly optimized multi-standard audio and voice SOC designs.
