Research using Tensilica's Technology
Current Research
In recent times, there has been a renewed focus in building reconfigurable systems. This has been mainly due to increased integration densities in FPGAs and evolution of compilers to exploit parallelism. With reconfigurable computing, it is possible to achieve greater functionality with a simpler hardware design and to realize the flexibility of a software based solution, while retaining the execution speed of a traditional hardware based approach. In our department, research works are going in the fields of:
- Image processing applications
- Crypto algorithms
- Wireless network protocols
- Biometric systems for smart card applications
We have found that Tensilica's Tool set best suits these applications. We will be using Tensilica's tool suite for these research works.
