Research Projects
Our research team is specialized in optimizing hardware implementations of cryptographic primitives especially hash functions. Our objective is to implement the same optimized version of our hardware implementations on Tensilica's platform and evaluate the results of this comparison. A software optimized version of our work will be implemented in software and measures with simple scalar, as to evaluate its execution in clock cycles.
Outline of Curriculum and Courses
Our VLSI Laboratory is specialized in IC design offering three undergraduate courses and on post graduate course. All are taught by Prof. Costas Goutis and can be found at www.vlsi.ece.upatras.gr
- Introduction to VLSI Design I
- Introduction to VLSI Design II
- Introduction to Digital Signal Processing I
- Introduction to Digital Signal Processing II
- Introduction to Image Processing
Student/Assistants Outreach
Tensilica's tools will be use by one PhD student and three undergraduate students, while working towards their thesis. After we have valuated the efficiency of working with Tensilica's tools, we will make an effort about participating in college recruiting programs with Tensilica.
