Low power integrated processor and DSP engine for an ultra low power communication node.

In this project, we want to investigate additions to the base processor which will help it support networking and communication tasks for an ultra low power communication node. The application scenerio is a wireless sensor network. We plan to use the TinyOS and Zigbee Protocol Stack to drive the customization of the processor. We are hoping that such an integrated processor will lead to the lowest power solution which is still easily programmable and hence, adaptable to other Operation Systems and protocol stacks.

This work is being carried out as part of a Master's thesis project and the report will be publicly available at the end of the project.
