Research Project
We are going to develop a stereo camera with two lenses. With the pair of stereoscopic images, depth information can be estimated by finding corresponding points and computing their disparities. After outputting the captured 2D texture information and the estimated depth map from the camera, users will be capable of viewing 3D stereoscopic images from specific 3D display. All the computing task will be implemented on a DSP platform, as well as an embedded system. We choose "Tensilica" as the platform and will develop related C programs for stereo computations.
