Research
INRIA uses Tensilica tools in the context of a French Research Master degree in Embedded System Design, offered by the University of Nice/Sophia-Antipolis (UNSA). This academic program is described here (sorry, only in french). Part of this curriculum consists in describing and promoting new promising approaches to the mixed HW/SW co design of embedded applications, with a focus on model-based and platform-based techniques.
A large part of the training (almost one half) is devoted to a six-month internship period spent by students conducting individual projects, under supervision of the teaching staff. We hope to propose as such a subject to try and apply Tensilica tools in a simple case study, yet to be defined. The goal is two-fold: first, get a better understanding of the actual techniques involved; second, try to connect them (at least theoretically) to some of the modeling approaches taught in the lectures of the Master.
