Tata Elxsi is an authorized design center for Tensilica's multimedia customers. Tata Elxsi's engineers have been fully trained on Tensilica's HiFi2 Audio Engine and Diamond Standard 38xVDO Video Engine family. Services include:

Components and IP – Accelerating product time-to-market

Tata Elxsi has designed and tested several components with the aim of expediting product development cycles. These include Codecs, Protocol Stacks, Middleware and Application frameworks.

Audio, Speech, Video and Imaging codecs include MPEG2 (Stereo) Enc/Dec, AMR NB, H.264 Encoder / Decoder and JPEG Encoder/Decoder.

Connectivity solutions include High Performance TCP/IP stacks for hand-helds, Embedded HTTP, Real time streaming Solution – RTP/RTCP/RTSP and other application layer protocols
