About TruSurround HD

SRS TruSurround HD accepts any input source, up to a seven-channel (6.1) audio source, and renders surround sound from 2.0 – 3.1 speaker configurations. When televisions featuring SRS TruSurround HD receive multichannel or Lt/Rt content, TruSurround HD virtualizes the channels, creating “phantom” speakers that appear to extend all around the listener, providing a superior multichannel surround sound effect. When the audio source is mono or stereo, TruSurround HD creates an expansive three-dimensional sound field, provides definition to high frequencies, and offers a center control feature to adjust the mix of center information.

SRS TruSurround HD utilizes proprietary algorithms to enhance signal clarity and improve the intelligibility of dialog, while psychoacoustic techniques maximize the perceived bass response. TruSurround HD is designed to compensate for a system that does not include tweeters for high-frequency performance by including a definition processor to provide maximum high-frequency clarity. TruSurround HD also includes bass management for subwoofer and center speaker designs. The final result is immersive sound that surrounds the listener, bass that rumbles and crystal clear high-frequency reproduction.

About TruSurround XT

SRS TruSurround XT accurately reproduces surround sound content over two speakers using patented techniques to deliver the broadest possible "sweet spot" for maximum realism and enjoyment. It allows households without a full home theater to fully enjoy 5.1 multichannel broadcasts and DVDs over the two speakers of their standard stereo television.

About SRS WOW XT

SRS WOW improves the dynamic audio performance of compressed and uncompressed audio by expanding the size of the audio image and creating a deep, rich bass response. The patented techniques in SRS WOW widen the horizontal sound field and raise the vertical sound image, retrieving information lost in the mixing process to create a more natural audio experience. WOW also shapes a maximized bass response using sculpted filters and driver physics to go beyond the low-frequency limitations of speakers and headphones. SRS WOW HD goes a step beyond WOW technology by delivering a new purity to sound with a cleaner, livelier audio quality, advanced bass enhancement for fatter low frequency bass and an incredibly innovative "center" control to place center infomration (such as vocals or musical instruments) in the stereo mix in the forefront or toward the back, in a delicate balance with the 3D stereo width control.

SRS Xspace 3D is a high-performance real-time 3D audio rendering engine designed specifically for mobile platforms. Optimized for low-MIPS and low-memory environments, SRS Xspace 3D immerses listeners in a virtual world where the game developer can place and move audio objects around the player’s head. Scalable to a large number of simultaneous sources, SRS Xspace 3D provides fast response and accurate positioning. SRS Xspace 3D also supports dynamic effects such as Doppler and reverb and is the only mobile 3D audio engine with built-in bass enhancement.
