Tensilica Establishes Japanese Subsidiary,
Appoints Country Sales Manager

23, 1999 (Yokohama, Japan, May 24, 1999) .Tensilica
Inc., a leader in the emerging market for application-specific
processor technology, today announced the formation
of the company's first international subsidiary
company. The new entity, Tensilica KK,
will be headquartered in Yokohama, Japan, and
will initially operate as the company's Japanese
sales and support office.

our first international office there confirms and

Simultaneously, the company announced the designation
of Mr. Masumi Takahashi as Japan Sales Manager. Prior
to this appointment, Mr. Takahashi was the worldwide
account manager for Synopsys Inc., with responsibility
for all Fujitsu division. Previously, he
held sales management posts at Teradyne and VLSI
Technology.
Mr. Takahashi will report to Bernie Rosenthal,
Tensilica's Vice President of Marketing and Business
Development. Rosenthal commented "We are
